CSAE Standards

Zero Tolerance Policy: Cipher Chat has a zero-tolerance policy regarding Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE). We are committed to providing a safe environment for all users and take our responsibility to protect children extremely seriously.

1. Prohibited Content and Conduct

Cipher Chat strictly prohibits the following:

  • The creation, upload, sharing, or storage of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).
  • Grooming behaviors or any attempt to exploit or endanger minors.
  • The solicitation of sexual content from or involving minors.
  • Content that promotes or facilitates child sexual abuse or exploitation.
  • Any form of child trafficking or non-consensual sexual content involving minors.

2. Reporting Mechanisms

We provide multiple ways for users to report suspected CSAE content or behavior:

  • In-App Reporting: Use the "Report" button available on user profiles and within chat interfaces to flag suspicious activity.
  • Email Reporting: Send detailed reports to [email protected].
  • External Reporting: We encourage users to also report CSAM directly to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) via their CyberTipline.

3. Enforcement and Consequences

Upon receiving a report or detecting prohibited content, Cipher Chat will:

  • Immediately remove the offending content.
  • Permanently ban the accounts involved.
  • Disable the user's ability to create new accounts.
  • Preserve relevant data for law enforcement purposes.

4. Cooperation with Law Enforcement

Cipher Chat complies with all legal obligations to report CSAM. We proactively report identified CSAM and related activity to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and cooperate fully with law enforcement agencies globally to assist in the investigation and prosecution of offenders.

5. Safety Tips for Parents and Minors

While we work hard to keep Cipher Chat safe, we recommend the following precautions:

  • Never share personal information (address, phone number, school) with strangers.
  • Be cautious of individuals who try to move conversations to other platforms.
  • Parents should monitor their children's online activity and discuss digital safety.
  • If someone makes you feel uncomfortable, block and report them immediately.
